Buy a Brick for Art Education $25.00
It’s your turn to leave your mark in history and participate in public art. PhotoBiz and the Center for Visual Artists have teamed up with local artist Jim Gallucci to create a piece of public art you can be a part of. Jim and his team are creating a beautiful “Gabion” style metal sculpture that will brilliantly display 600 salvaged, historic bricks, donated by PhotoBiz.

How You Can Help

You can support art education and be a part of public art by purchasing one or more of these 600 bricks. Every brick purchased directly supports the Center for Visual Artists of Greensboro. Purchasing a brick for $25 (or 5 for $100) is a great opportunity for any individual person, family, school, business, club, or team to make their mark. How you ask? Decorate your brick and bring it to the Rockin’ Chalk Party on Saturday, October 5, 2013, where Jim will be placing the bricks in the sculpture. Once complete, this 3,400 lb. 8’ x 4’ x 2’ unique piece of art will be donated to the city of Greensboro and proudly displayed at a location to later be revealed.

If you would like to decorate your brick(s) in advance, you can pick up your brick(s) at PhotoBiz (516 W. Friendly Ave., Greensboro, NC 27401) or the Center for Visual Artists of Greensboro (200 N. Davie Street, Greensboro, NC 27401).
